The crystal waters surrounding Anna Maria Island offer many opportunities for enjoyment. Dive in for a refreshing dip, or grab a snorkel and explorer the wonders of watching the many varieties of sealife. If you would rather catch than watch, Anna Maria Island has several fishing piers. There are fishing charters available for both grass flats and offshore fishing. Mackerel, tarpon, sheepshead, redfish, grouper, mangrove snapper, flounder, snook, and saltwater trout are common catches.
